Diamond ($DMND) is a meme coin built on the Base blockchain. Launched through the meme token generator Toshi Mart, $DMND’s mascot is themed around the viral green-skinned frog Pepe. But this time, Diamond is blue-skinned, a bold nod to its underlying blue-colored blockchain network.
$DMND’s story encapsulates the aftereffects of a failed relationship. For years, Diamond was treated poorly as the “side piece” to the all-famous Pepe. Tired of his games, she broke things off with Pepe and stood up for herself. Now, she lives up to her name, being a diamond, the show’s star.
Realizing she’s garnering attention and publicity, Pepe is desperate for a do-over as he spams her cell phone with calls and follows her around town. But those days are over. Pepe should have locked it down when he had the chance!
Every member of the project is showing their support to aid $DMND’s market growth to surpass $PEPE’s. Join this movement!
The Base chain meme coin features a three-phase roadmap themed around its backstory.
$DMND is the lifeblood of the Diamond ecosystem. Holders benefit from the asset’s price volatility. Community members are also kept engaged with memes across social media handles. They also stand a chance to earn free tokens for participating in specific tasks. Aside from these, $DMND has yet to launch diverse use cases to drive its adoption.
$DMND has a total supply of one billion tokens, 80% of which were fairly launched. The remaining 20% of the supply is evenly distributed among marketing efforts and the team. Current on-chain data shows that over 4.9K wallets hold the Base meme token.
At the time of writing, $DMND has a market cap of $16K, a daily traded volume of $5.5K, and liquidity of $9.2K. Its trading price is $0.042007, representing a 4.16% surge in the past six hours.
The Diamond meme coin project boasts hundreds of community members across social media handles, X and Telegram.
1) Diamond and Pepe have a history. What inspired this breakup storyline, and how did it become the central theme of $DMND?
Pepe obviously has been a huge meme for quite some time now, and the success has gotten to his head. Diamond was his girl before he became rich and famous, she stood by him through thick and thin and despite countless attempts from Diamond, Pepe refused to lock her down. She wants to prove that she can make it in this male dominated industry and build her own succesful meme project.
I thought the theme of Diamond brought a fresh storyline to the Pepe the frog saga, one that people would think is hilarious and also resonate with. She was given the name Diamond, because on Toshi Mart, the platfrom we launched on, there's a section called Diamonds for projects that reach a certain level of success/market cap. No project has reached this level yet, and we want to become the first one.
2) Many meme coins are just for laughs, but some have a deeper meaning. Is $DMND just satire, or is there a bigger message behind it — like empowerment, independence, or something else?
Great question, there is a deeper meaning behind Diamond and what we stand for. Diamond represents anyone who has been in a relationship with someone that didn't truly love them back or appreciate them for who they are. It's also supposed to inspire people in those relationships, that they can move on, that they can make it on their own and they're better off for doing so.
We also represent another sector of crypto, and that's being an ethical project that does things right. Crypto and especially meme projects are plagued by scams and rug pulls, it's truly awful how often stuff like this happens. I as the dev have doxxed myself from the very beginning, and locked 10% of supply. I trully believe every project should doxx themself and be more transparent, among other security measures. We want to transition our project from just a meme token, to a utility project that combats scammers/rug pull aritsts.
3) How does $DMND differentiate itself from other meme coins, especially in a space where Pepe-themed projects are everywhere?
For one DMND is a women, and represents women, which is an underserved community in this space. She brings a unique story line and is something that people really seem to resonate with. We're fully doxxed, which my guess is something that less than 1% of projects do. I also have a successful youtube channel and am an experienced content marketer, so we have big goals and we know how to get there.
Pepe's reign of terror has gone on long enough, and we're looking to de-throne him.
4) Some projects evolve beyond their original concept. Will $DMND stay a fun meme, or do you see it expanding into utility-driven features, NFTs, or DeFi?
We're looking to build out utility driven features, the main one that resonates with us is creating a more ethical launch pad. Toshi Mart and Pump Fun are plauged with rug pulls. We believe we can create a platform that solves all of these issues, helps each project market themselves and achieve ther goals.
5) Your roadmap phases are hilarious and unique. How important is humor in your marketing strategy?
Humor is always going to be at center of what we do, at the end of the day we're a meme project. We can't foget that about ourselves, but as mentioned before we have bigger goals that I think are necessary to differentiate us in a competitve landscape.
6) Meme coins often have passionate communities. What kind of energy does the $DMND community bring to the table?
Our community is still young and building, but we have a core group in our community that love what we're about and are good, hardworking and honest people. We've only known eachother for a short perod of time and have communicated mostly through Telegram. But we're already planning IRL meetups, and constantly talk about ways to take this project to the next level.
I'm super grateful for the community we've built, and we'll continue to build it around ethicallity in the crypto space.
