Moo Deng ($MOODENG) is a hippopotamus-themed meme coin project built on the Solana network. Its mascot is Moo Deng, a baby pygmy hippo living in Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand. This cute hippo went viral in September 2024, thanks to her chubby appearance, playful and energetic personality, and other unique traits.

A team of Solana community members tapped into this virality and launched $MOODENG using the popular meme coin generator Pump.fun. The meme coin has a total supply of 989,946,611 tokens, 100% of which are in circulation. Users can generate Moo Deng PFPs via the website to show they’re part of the Moo Gang.

Within a few months of launch, prominent crypto exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and OKX listed $MOODENG, driving its on-chain metrics to incredible heights. It has amassed a market capitalization of over $200 million and a daily traded volume above $2 million. Its social media followings has also skyrocketed to above 105.2K followers on X and 14.7K+ members on Telegram. These milestones enabled $MOODENG to rank among the best-performing meme coins for 2024.
