General Characteristics

KittyMineCoin ($KMC) is the first layer-1 cryptocurrency to integrate a hybrid Proof of Game and Proof of Work consensus model within Minecraft. Designed to empower gamers, $KMC allows players to earn and use crypto through in-game actions such as farming, PvP, and mob battles.

The ecosystem operates on TheKittyMine Minecraft server, where players accumulate "hashtrys" (in-game mining attempts) to validate transactions and earn KMCoin. This token can then be wrapped into $KMC for broader utility, including trading, and staking.

The project aims to decentralize gaming economies by enabling players to monetize their efforts while adhering to game developers' End User License Agreement (EULA).

Functionality and Utility

KittyMineCoin uses a dual-consensus model. In-game tasks generate “hashtrys” that can be used for block mining, providing a 50% chance of success per attempt. Players mine blocks by submitting hash attempts directly in-game. Successful mining rewards players with KMCoin, which can be wrapped into $KMC for use on Solana.

$KMC is used for staking, transactions, and possibly future cross-chain applications. The system supports up to 144,000 transactions daily, offering fast syncing with minimal hardware (downloading only 200MB to begin mining).

Market Performance and Dynamics

$KMC traded at $0.0₄3966 at press time, down 20% in the past 24 hours. It has a total supply of 996.71M and 2K+ holders.

It currently has a market cap of $39.20K, liquidity of $43.5K, and a 24-hour trading volume of $45.21K.

Community

KittyMineCoin targets Minecraft players. It has a growing fan base on multiple social media platforms, such as X, Telegram, Discord, Instagram, and TikTok.

Pros

8 Questions to the KittyMineCoin Team

1) KMCoin is pioneering the concept of a layer-1 Proof of Game cryptocurrency. What inspired you to merge gaming with blockchain at such a deep level?

We wanted to create a fair, player-owned economy that would reward gamers for their efforts while only utilizing basic game functionalities, thus not infringing upon the game developers EULA. Use of the chat log based system validating the information achieves this feat. Bitcoin was created from "spare computing power" at it's inception but grew to "as much power as possible" creating a barrier for individuals wishing to mine profitably, not to mention the time necessary to sync with the BTC network. KMCoin ensures all players can equally hash blocks regardless of computing power or gaming skill while requiring little knowledge to start mining coins. It also allows syncing and transaction processing within a single block (1 minute average) and players only need a maximum 200Mb to validate the blockchain.

2) Why did you choose Minecraft as the first implementation of KMCoin’s Proof of Game mechanism?

Minecraft is easy to work with and the commands allow a lot of creativity when trying a new Proof of Work/Proof of Game mechanism. The PoW/PoG chosen for TheKittyMine hosting KMCoin was meant to be completely balanced, fair and easy to work with.

3) KMCoin’s blockchain stores Minecraft block data. Does this open up possibilities for on-chain gaming assets, NFTs, or world-state tracking?

The information stored in the game is simply another way for players to validate the blockchain built by KMCoin that is stored locally on their PC. This further ensures server operators are honest.

4) You mentioned a future peer-to-peer network. How will this function within TheKittyMine, and will it allow external servers to participate?

KMCoin is built completely through the chat log. This includes KMCoin transactions and "wrapping" KMCoins to a community vault stored visibly in each player's directory. The only thing the peer to peer network validates within a single server is the 64 character "consensus hash". There is no winning player that needs to be decided or extra logic necessary. Since this information is derived from a shared chat log, a malicious actor would need to successfully compromise more than half of the validating player's private networks as opposed to generating half of the hashing power. Adding more servers involves choosing an overall winner but we have developed a method that will choose these winners without exception. We strongly encourage any interested server operators to join our discord, learn the KMCoin system and become trusted validators.

5) 1 KMCoin block = 10 $KMC — why did you decide on this specific ratio? Will it fluctuate over time?

The average energy cost running Minecraft and the current market cap of KMC divulge a fair amount of KMC to players for their efforts. We want everyone to understand what KMCoin is at it's core and how it is related to KMC. The applications of KMCoin are truly endless and with it's acceptance more sustainable tokenomics with KMC can be formed. We do require that players hold 50,000 KMC in their wallet for rewards. This is only a near-term approach that allows players exposure to KMC while learning how to use KMCoin. We also have Easter Eggs within the server for cash rewards to further incentivize players. ($100 USD a piece.)

6) KMCoin aims to become “the Bitcoin of gaming” — what steps are being taken to make this vision a reality?

We are reaching out to Minecraft streamers, gaming organizations and crypto enthusiasts to share the KMCoin system. We are working to make KMCoin as user friendly as possible for operators and the community is protecting the layer-1 ledger as it grows.

7) Have you considered integrating NFTs, gaming skins, or unique digital assets that could be earned or traded within the KMCoin ecosystem?

Absolutely. Moving KMCoins from within the game's trusted and validated blockchain to an exchange or wallet will unlock endless potential to utilize digital assets of any form.

8) What’s the ultimate endgame for KMCoin? Beyond Minecraft, could we see it implemented in other games like Roblox, Rust, or even metaverse worlds?

Any game with shared server logs can allow KMCoins to be mined! Support for multiple games to set up servers with various PoW/PoG options that can sync with KMCoin quickly are developed and functional. Passive rewards for server operators and pool mining for players is established. A DEX supporting swaps and staking for KMCoin and KMC hosted by TheKittyMine is fully functional. Finally, exchange listings for KMCoin allowing exposure to any ecosystem.
